Summer Games

As the end of summer arrived we played summer games at the library! Here is Ben as part of the water relay. They had to use the cup to move water from one bucket to another. It was really funny watching the kids who were not sure what a line was to try to stand in one then take turns. At the end everyone got stickers. I love this non competitive age where we are just learning to play just to play.
Poor Jan she decided to hand out water guns and let the kids squirt each other. They all turned on her! But Jan seemed to know that would happen and didnt mind.

This is Ben throwing a weighted thing towards a hoop. No one made it in the hoop. But they took turns trying to throw the weight and really it was an exercise in keeping kids in line and taking turns.
Allison loves to play baseball. To her that means carrying around a bat and a ball and trying to hit the ball. She can entertain herself this way for quite a while. I dress her up now because Im afraid when she is older she will be just like me and refuse dresses and climb trees. Ah the fun that awaits me.
