Summer Afternoons

As August ends sadly summer will end soon too. We will miss the warm weather and time outside. These days the kids love to be outside. Sally got them a bat and ball from the Salty Dog and Ben loves to go out and set up his tee and play baseball. Allison loves to push a stroller around. Last night we went to the grocery store and she was very mad that mama didn't let her push the stroller in the store but Allison didn't stop long enough to get shoes on before we went to the store so she had to sit in the big kids stroller while we were in the store. Today the kids were exploring their boundaries. There is a tree in the neighbors yard on each side so I have said they can go as far as each tree before they have to turn around and come back. This way they are not too close to the street. They kept going just a little further past the tree on each pass for a while. Then mama decided we should walk to the library and get some exercise. Allison pushed her stroller all the way there and all the way back. Ben tried to ride his big wheel but his feet don't reach the pedals and it proved to be too much for him. That meant mama got to carry his bike, the books, and Mary Catherine. As you can see all this work tuckered out the Ben.
Mary rolled over from front to back for the first time today!!!!
I put her on her belly in the play room for some tummy time and she just rolled right over.
I put her on her tummy again so she could have the important tummy time and she rolled right back over. Oh well, she got some exercise too.

That little Mary is growing so fast. I feel like just yesterday she was born and in the NICU and now here she is holding her head up and rolling over.

Here are my precious girls all smiles. Allison is actually being nice to Mary here. She is letting Mary pull her hair and laughing. Allison is caught in the middle. She is not a baby but she is not yet a big kid. She is a lot of fun.
