Where did November go?

The two kids have been learning to play together. Allison wants to do everything Ben is doing, Ben can be patient if he is in the right mood but sometimes his little sister just bugs him. I think of the stories of John and I at this age. Allison wanting to move like Ben has motivated her to walk. She is so close. She loves to practice walking with anyone who will hold her hands, even Ben.

We began this month by celbrating Allison's first birthday!!! We cant beleive that she has been out for a year. Now its the end of November and I am wondering where the time has gone. For Allison's birthday I made a little cake and we had it after dinner as our little family. For her birthday I got her some clips for her beautiful hair that is starting to get in her eyes.

This month also brought us our first stomach bug. Allison had it the worst and it took almost a week for her to get over it. Ben and I had it just one day, and that was enough. The Man with his iron stomach managed to avoid it all together. That was good since someone needed to take care of all of us.

We went down to Marseilles one Friday to see the house and just get a feel for anything that needed to be delt with before the closing on the 30th. We are really looking forward to moving. The neighborhood is calling us with its lack of traffic and independent businesses. We did check out Illini Sate Park, we think its great for camping and fishing maybe but not too much else.

That evening we went to see Mikey and Martha in DeKalb. We had to drop off some gifts for the newly weds. While there the kids found this great sombrero. They loved it!!

We finish off the month by heading to Ohio for Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving dinner in Toledo at Aunt Kate and Uncle Mark's house. On the day after we go to Aunt Barbs house for Turkey noodle soup. Next we head to Cleveland for visiting with Great Grandma and other family. We even got to see Uncle John, but that will be another post.
